Background
Lisa Anderson (b. 1971) is an abstract artist specializing in painting and photography, working and living in southeast Florida. She received her undergraduate degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1994, and was an officer in the Air Force for 6 years. She received her MBA from the University of Southern California in 2000. She has worked in project management in the Air Force, Deloitte & Touche, and Amgen. She is also a realtor in her local area. Her love of travel has inspired her desire to roam and photograph all that captures her eye. She has artwork in private homes and businesses and on display in her local community. She is married and has two grown children.

Lisa's photography tells a story, whether it is everyday life, sadness, excitement, it doesn’t matter she wants to capture it. Street photography excites her. Natural beauty, landscapes, or even man made, she finds uniqueness or interest in light, shadow or shape and wants to capture. Her background in the military has caused her to be influenced by structure, yet her artistic side is drawn to uniqueness. Her love of travel has inspired her desire to roam and photograph whatever she see, wherever she is. She photographs in digital, As an abstract artist in acrylic painting, she has brought this into her photography with styles such as intentional camera movement to create artistic versions of what she is seeing in real life.

Lisa Anderson's paintings primarily uses acrylic bold colors and is known for her unique energetic line work incorporated into her work. Using inspiration from her feelings and moods, she creates a being in her work that draws you in and takes you to new places. Lisa’s creative side counterbalanced her structured military background and you can see a juxtaposition of both in her work. She channels her emotions and stress from daily life into her paintings to express herself. The fluid strokes, bold colors, and depth display her hidden passion and desire to express herself for who she is. Lisa’s paintings contain multiple layers of acrylic with bold brush strokes. Using a variety of brushes, paints, and methods, each of her paintings are unique in nature and display a different mood and temperament.
